Getting from FUE to Corralejo

Bus, taxi, shuttle, or rental car — costs, times, and which option suits which kind of trip.

Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) sits in Puerto del Rosario, 38 km south of Corralejo. Four ways to bridge that gap, ranging from €3.40 to €55. Pick based on your budget, luggage, and arrival time.

Option 1: Public bus 6 (Tiadhe) — cheapest

€3.40 one-way, every 30 minutes until 10 pm, journey time 50 minutes. The bus stops at the airport exit (signed) and ends at Corralejo's main bus station. From there it's a 10–15 minute walk to the harbor area. Pay cash to the driver or buy a 'Tarjeta Dinero' from Tiadhe.

Option 2: Shared shuttle — best value

€8–12 per person, books online (Hoppa, Holiday Taxis, etc.), door-to-door drop. Driver waits at arrivals with your name. Journey 35–45 minutes. Best for families and people with luggage.

Option 3: Taxi — fastest

€45–55 one-way, official airport taxis at the rank outside arrivals. 30 minutes door-to-door. Worth it for late-night arrivals or groups of 4.

Option 4: Rental car — most flexible

From €25/day with all the major companies (Cicar is the local favorite, no excess insurance hassle). Worth it if you plan to explore El Cotillo, Lajares, or the surf spots — public transport doesn't reach the north coast properly.
